At Great Western Flooring, your vast choices of carpet include a wide range of styles, colors and materials. Types of carpet can vary from natural fibers such as wool and cotton to synthetics such as nylon, polyester, polymer and olefin/polypropylene. We also recycle ALL of the carpet padding that we remove from existing homes.
TEXTURE / PLUSH CARPET
These traditional cut-pile carpets are often casual in style and great for use
throughout the home.
SAXONY CARPET
With a luxurious, almost velvety look, this formal and refined cut-pile carpet is ideal for dining and living rooms.
LOOP CARPET
Loop carpets can vary in size within the carpet to create a texture. They also wear well because of their tight, compact design.
They are typically more casual, but some designs are suitable for formal settings. Traditional Berber carpet is a loop with a colored fleck in it.
SCULPTED / LEVEL-CUT LOOP CARPET
These carpets combine cut-pile or plush carpet and looped carpet to form a design. They are becoming popular with patterns ranging from contemporary styles to traditional floral textures. They also wear well because of their lower pile due to the looped portion.
FRIEZE CARPET
A newer casual carpet, frieze (pronounced friz-AY) is a toned-down variation of shag composed of “twisty” fibers. It looks great between vacuuming and shows few footprints.
